Good Excellent optical performance at every focal length and distance. I wasn't able to make an unsharp shot. Excellent Image Stabilization: I got four real stops of improvement at 105mm. Unusually accurate, fast and consistent autofocus. Bad Cramped zoom ring, especially at the wide end. Lots of distortion (easily fixed with DxO)

A used EF 24-105 f/4 costs about the same as the rf 24-105mm f4-7.1. My gut feeling is to go for the EF, but what do you think? I was originally using the RF 24-105 kit for over a year before recently getting EF 24-105. I can say that I think the kit really does work well for a kit lens, and if you went that route you would still be pretty happy.

Being a professional-grade L-series lens, the 28-300 is expected to have stronger build quality.
The choice between RF 24-70 f/2.8 and RF 24-105 f/4 is going to come down to whether you would value more an extra stop of aperture (and probably a little better IQ) or having 70-105 available. 1. I am very surprised that no one told you there is no place for a tripod ring on the lens. With the control ring, focus ring, zoom ring along with the 5 switches there is NO room for a tripod mount. While the RF 70-200 f4 is 12mm longer it is also 5 grams less weight then the RF 24-105 f4.
