Something that has sufficient cargo space and good MPG. I’ve looked at Fiat 500 and Mini Coopers, but I hear both of them are very unreliable and expensive to maintain. Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris come to mind as the smallest cars with decent cargo space and better gas efficiency, but I know some of you may also recommend a Prius or a Civic or

Toyota reliability is legitimate but a bit of a circlejerk imo. People seem to forget about the entire generation of tacomas that were literally rusting in half after a few years. Personally I think that most new cars should last you a good while as long as you are doing your maintenance on time and taking care of it. Indeed. TPCA was a JV, although the plant is now fully owned by Toyota. The plant has always been managed by Toyota, using the Toyota Production System, so build vehicle quality is there, and the component set, given what type of car it is, is relatively small and simple - so not a lot of things to go wrong with stuff made by suppliers either. Other than the insane amount of legal shit you’d have to go through, I guess you could just import a GR Yaris, buy a total red regular Yaris/similar Toyota, swap the VINs for registration, etc. the fact that it’s a performance version of an already existing normal car makes it a lot easier. Could rebadge it and basically be safe.
BMW and Toyota came together to make an awesome car. The fact that it isn't a 1000hp dragster out of the box annoys a lot of 14 year olds. It looks good af on the road imo and does it's job well of being a mid price sports car. especially in a time when that shit is basically a sin.
Passion project cars like this get tossed at Toyota because the customers who actually buy the cars are truck dudes, soccer moms, and broke college kids. If you want race cars. You have to buy race cars. NEW. Buying used is kinda a slap in the face to the R&D team.
The story of the GR Yaris road car project going coming to a head stemmed from the WRC regulations being scrapped (which the GR Yaris was designed for) and the FIA shifted towards the upcoming Rally1 regulations instead. Toyota was burned because they badly wanted to race this engine (and also that amazing chassis) in WRC.
No. Kei Car is regulated to have a 660cc engine with a power limit of 64 PS and a max length of 3.4m, 1.48m max width, and 2m max height. My car is a 1000cc 3cyl with a power of 98ps the body is also much bigger than kei cars at 4.030m length, 1.71m width, and a 1.635m height. This is a Mini SUV.
The Tesla is a damn good car, that just happens to be electric. Your comparison of the model 3 to a Yaris is like comparing the Yaris to a BMW 340i and being upset that the Toyota is more economical. It's like, "no shit, but the BMW is the better car by miles in literally every other category". The point of the Tesla wasn't to be the most I've extracted three cars which fit my criteria budget wise, as I can't really assess reliability given my inexperience of car knowledge, hence why I'm seeking your help. The cars I've picked out are: (I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to insert number plates in this post) - Suzuki Swift 1.3 Diesel 2009 plate. - Toyota Yaris 1.0 Petrol 2005 plate. In addition to a good (albeit not powerful) Toyota engine, this car has a full Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 at every package model as well as things like Apple, Android and Alexa built-in. The problem with the car is mostly in relation to things like size and power for the price. This is NOT meant for a family of six (or even five).
The 3 options thus far are in no real order, the new Peugeot 208, the new Toyota Yaris (non hybrid version) and the Mazda 2 1.5 from last year. My aim for the car is to have it as my daily driver, city will be the more normal background for this car, I will probably once per 2 or 4 months travel, 300kms, on a weekend.
I prefer a smaller car, so I'd likely get a Corolla rather than a Camry. The Corolla will likely cost about 10% less, and get about 10% better gas mileage than the Camry. The only mainstream cars that are likely to hold value as well as a Toyota is a Honda - so you might want to look into the Fit, Civic, and Accord. If you want a small car, the It’s purely because America had a hissy fit about not having the GR Yaris, even though they won’t buy a yaris. So Toyota is accommodating to America while still keeping it kinda cool with the idea of a rally based Corolla. redd5ive • 2020 S560 | 2018 Golf R | 2002 S2000 • 2 yr. ago.
