Around the corner is a sole marine hanging out on the ledge. The crossbow or magnum are a good choice here, as enemies are visible at long range and there is hardly any cover. Continue along the ledge past the large concrete structure until you get to a cave. Route 2 . Creep around the ledge, and take out the marine in the cave any way you see fit.
As I completed my yearly playthrough of half life 2 this week, i found myself growing more and more bored during episode 2. The antlion caves felt interesting enough the first time through, but it seems to be the most stale part of the game for me. I love the industrial backdrops, the storyline, characters, physics puzzles. Etc.
Edit: Discovered that Lost Coast is just an "experience" over a deleted level, with the developers comments, already ended in 20 minutes, the Half Life series is ending too fast. Edit 2: Beated the Episode One, oh crap, I'm losing my mind, I don't want it to end, but it's only one more episode, I'm freaking out.

i just beat half life 2 episode 2 and i have to say it was way better than half life 2, all the epic battles and how the music fitted with them was just fantastic so i would have to rate the games: Half life 2 ep 2 Half life 2 Half life 2 ep 1 I was actually quite disappointed with half life 2 ep 1 when i beat it a couple days ago.
Yeah I technically haven't beaten half life 2 according to steam achievements despite playing that game religiously. Episode 1 released in 2006. Steam achievements were rolled out with the orange box in 2007, so theres over a year of people finishing episode 1 without achievements. I technically never finished.I treat Episode 1 like the epilogue for Half Life 2, and Episode 2 as the prologue for Half Life 3. You cant have a prologue to something that will not exist. be true, but that's never going to break the faith of the church of Gaben. Episode 2 is pretty nuts. 142 Hours. The Orange Box is a bundle that includes five titles from Valve: Half-Life 2; Half-Life 2:Episode 1; Half-Life 2: Episode Two; Team Fortress 2, the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map; and Portal, the game that blends puzzles, first person action, and adventure gaming to produce an experience Fe4n2.
